Salus Vita Compassion "Cascadia" is named after the temperate forest region "Cascadia Bioregion" in the Pacific Northwest (Alaska, British Columbia, Washington, Oregon and California). Temperate rainforests are coniferous or deciduous forests that occur in the temperate zone and receive heavy rain. Temperate rainforests are just as important as tropical rainforests in preventing global temperatures from escalating.

The lawless practice of clearing temperate virgin forests has put endemic species at risk of extinction, including the marbled murrelet and the northern spotted owl.

With our Salus Vita backpacks, we want to raise awareness of the conservation of our rainforests and the saving of the species endemic in them.
