Inspired by the underwater treasures, this design features the thriving marine life and coral reefs of the Sulu Sea. This is embedded in the the colorful weave tradition of the Yakan tribe in Southern Philippines. Fishing being one of their most important source of livelihood, they honor this tradition and way of life in their weave art designs.
